My big fat Mungeli birthday

Every year I try to write a post about my birthday. This year’s birthday will possibly be the most memorable. Mungeli, communal style cooking, huge vats of mutton curry on wood fire, and a 120 guests who make this a beautiful community. We are very blessed.First there was the long list of ingredients, which Chiku, of our opthalmology department helped us source.

Then there was the chopping, peeling, stirring and cooking for 5 hours…by the pool.

Then there was the mandatory rude party game

Then there were the three psychedelic cakes which the little children assisted in cutting.

Then there were the presents….

It was a night to remember. It was only made possible because the entire community, from the Director onwards helped to make this the best and the biggest birthday I have ever had. Thank you all for a wonderful time. We are blessed to be a part of this loving community.
